To date Fernando has accumulated 5.5 WAR in his 100 game career in 406 AB's.
His Father accumulated a total of 6.5 WAR in his career in 3,051 AB's.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume he will surpass his Fathers career WAR before his first full season is completed.
BTW....Tatis Jr. is the FIRST player in Major League history to have 30 hr's and 20 steals in the first 100 games of his career.
In HISTORY!
Oh....and he's a Padre!

The most amazing thing so far is ... he's stayed healthy!
I have my doubts that he will stay healthy enough to have an HOF career ... sure hope he does ...

I am really hoping it gets done this offseason.
They could structure it where most of the $$ starts after Myers/Hosmer are off the books.
With Richards coming off after this year and Pham the year after.....We could make it work.
I'm also hoping extending Tatis keeps Machado happy and producing.
I felt last year Machado dropped off alot after FTJ went out....I really think those two go hand in hand and having both for the next 8 years would be amazing.
Could be two more Hall of Fame players wearing Padre hats!
