"Wil Myers takes it out of the yard with one swing of the bat"?????

Does anyone else find Orsillo's calls a bit....odd? Just last week either Machado or Jr. hit a ball into the left field seats, and Orsillo's call was " He's left the building"( and no, it wasn't Jr.'s shot on the top of the Western Metal Supply building)

Not a big fan anyway( sounds too much like a late night infomercial) but it's almost as if he's getting confused or excited( excited is fine) and just flubbing his lines. Granted, you guys get to hear him a great deal more than I do so will most likely have different opinions

Now The Colonel, his gaffes were LEGENDARY ( throwing up in the bullpen, hits his head on the wall, its now rolling back towards the infield, etc....). Dan sounds almost unprepared or new to the business.

Just nit pickin'......

It's cool I can question the broadcaster because our team is so good. Go Pads!

All announcers have gaffes......reacting “on the fly” will make that happen.

Except for Vin Scully maybe.

By FAR the best ever and the only thing you will ever hear me say positive about the Dodgers.

But IMO Mud and Don are fantastic overall and we’re lucky to have them.

Ive heard MANY others and most are bland and boring.

Our guys give us the info we need but also have personalities that cOme thru and make the broadcast enjoyable.

When I accidentally forget to pick "our" broadcast team on MLB.tv it sounds so "wrong"...

sometimes I listen a while & some pretty bad.  I'll take Don & Mud!

I can't imagine they'll EVER be anyone as good as Vin, in any sport.

He WAS the one in a million.

Still, hate the Duds.

I get streams from whichever team's broadcast seems to be the best on the day, so really have no option.

That said, some are better, some are worse.

I was spoiled listening to The Colonel and Soup, along with Bob Chandler then( hate to admit it!) Leitner.

Welcome to the Padres, Mitch ...

F ing Kemp, he always seems to kill us no matter if he with us or against.

Myers is having alot of fun and Jake just keeps delivering.

Good to get the sweep.  Still have a dangerous line-up but the SP is not strong overall and neither is the pen, but they do have one or two dependable players in both.  My guess is they don't make the playoffs.

Also, Moreland 2-run HR and scores from 1st on Myers' triple; Nola 2 for 3 with an RBI; Altavilla with a hold; and Rosenthal with a save.  Seems like those trades worked out pretty well for the Padres tonight!

Thanks to Pads they're now 3 games < .500   Miami sitting in the # 8 seed @ .500    Rox have a 4 game set with LAD I think after we play them.... uphill climb for them.   I hope so.
