Cubs could not justify him even if they were paying league minimum!

His rep as a great clubhouse guy / teammate could not save him (or is just not matching the hype).

Aaron Hicks just got DFA.. once he goes through waivers should we pick him up.. he is the anti Grish..(doesn't strike out).. his power has diminished ..although last 24 games. 524 slg%.. so odd timing on the DFA ..hits lefties well thoughts? 💯 better than Engel

Think he is all done as a player. If the NYY are waiving him and know they are going to pay his contract to make room for Greg Allen who has for years been on the fringe of MLB (including a stint with the Padres), then nothing left. I guess his defense has faded along with this bat.

Eaton is likely gone when the add Azocar and Azocar has more value than Hicks.

Okay Fenn, you keep referring to Eaton. I'm assuming you mean Engel?

I'm glad Clevinger is pitching well for us. Oh, wait a minute.......

Did ANY of those trades pan out?

We got Clevinger, Moreland, Nola, KC closer( Rosenthal?)...who else? We sent out a lot if viable players for....what?

Yep, a bad brain lock … Eaton name pops in every time I am thinking Engel … sometimes I catch it … sometime I don’t.

The only solution in my mind is releasing Eaton … or is it Engel?🤪

Just catching up on all of the things that went on around the league for Lou Gehrig day yesterday. I have to say the way teams, the league and the media rallied around Sarah Langs was pretty great. From what I've seen of her online and on television she seems like a pretty great person who has brought a lot to the world of baseball. It's cool to see her being celebrated while she fights such an awful disease.

Good take, Jeremy! What a horrible f**king disease to be inflicted with.

Maybe Sarah's story can bring more attention to this insidious disease( read: money!) and scientists can make some breakthroughs to end this life taking menace.
