Gabriel Arias, SS, Guardians (No. 60 to No. 83): Arias needed surgery to mend a fractured right hand in May, and that’s only part of a rough first half for the 22-year-old infielder. He’s hit just .190/.258/.345 in 21 games for Triple-A Columbus, while striking out 30.1 percent of the time. He’s seen the Majors too, but he is just 2-for-19 with eight strikeouts there. Arias still has decent power, a good glove and a plus-plus arm from the dirt.

Anderson Espinoza, ChC: Sent to Minors

And the Dodgers score 7 runs in the last three innings to beat the Cards!

🙄

Luis Patino activated from 60 IL by Rays

Good to see the ex Padre get back to it..good luck young man

Wow…Josh Hader just gave up 5 hits, and 6 runs including three home runs in .1 ip to lose to the Giants.

😳

He had only allowed 9 runs and 4 HRs all season. The Giants got 6 and 3. He also had only blown 1 save. His ERA went from 2.73 to 4.50. Crazy.

Precious outing he had a bad one too

Feel better about Rogers couple of hiccups  now...

Closers are a different breed ..1 mistake ends u.. SP can adjust.. come back and at least keep you in the game...CL comes in a couple mistakes and a game goes from a W to an L and can't fix anything.. which can affect u next time out and the next and the next until you find what the problem was..if indeed it was a problem and not just a hitter/s making good contact on a good pitch or in one that got away

Steven Souza Jr announces his retirement from baseball... why am I posting this?

Because when we acquired Myers + Castillo (AAA) from the Rays we gave them Trea Turner

Washington then flipped Turner for Steven Souza Jr to Nationals

We lost that trade/ but at least we got good productive albeit streaky MLB player who flirted with a couple 30/30 seasons in Wil...But boy oh boy Rays got absolutely nothing from it...

Guess we need to cheer for LAD vs SF this weekend...SF too close for comfort
