Adrian Morejon

For the record, there's some nice video of Adrian in today's Daily Farm Report ... and you can hear how to correctly pronounce his name ūüôā

(Good video of El Paso, with Quantrill, and Hudson Potts' first HR also)

From today's DFR ...

LHP Adrian Morejon came off of the Injured List and threw a pair of innings before hitting his 35 pitch target and being lifted. Morejon was placed on the injured list on April 23 with back and shoulder stiffness. Morejon was clocked above 95 mph and snapped off some nasty off-speed pitches even as Midland posted a pair of runs in the first. The organization has been cautious with the prized lefty, who should be able to work deeper in his next outing.

From today's DFR ...

LHP Adrian Morejon came back after three days off to made another abbreviated start and pitched two scoreless innings, striking out four. Morejon only threw 29 pitches in his second start since being activated with a sore shoulder. There were no reports of issues so it appears the organization is bringing him along slowly.

Injury Update: While lefty starter Adrian Morejon hasn’t made an appearance in 13 days, the 20-year-old lefty is with the club and has at least thrown in the bullpen. He has continued to feel some on-and-off discomfort in his shoulder, but is likely to make a start in the coming days.

From today's DFR ...

Lefty Adrian Morejon continued to ease back into work after shoulder soreness limited him to just three outings and seven innings in May. While id doesn’t sound like there has been any sign of structural injury, the club has been exceptionally cautious with the talented 20-year-old. Morejon gave up some loud contact in the first inning, including a two-out double, but came back with a pop-up and two strikeouts in the second. As with when they restarted him last month, the Padres gave Morejon three days off between his first two outings. Expect him to get four days before stretching out for another frame in his next appearance.

From today's DFR ...

Adrian Morejon looked great, dialing it up to 98 and sitting in the 95 range but also went only two innings.  This season Morejon has struggled with shoulder soreness and has not thrown five innings since April 16.  The organization is being careful with him but still hope to get him stretched back out and will keep him in Double-A until he can get his innings up.

Tough luck for this kid.

Makes a good pitch yet gives up a bloop double that leads to a run.

Nice debut for Morejon ... just 20 and with limited AA work. Had the 96MPH FB although his command was off. Two of the three hits were coming off the hitter being jammed.

27 pitches was near the plan ... could have gone longer but guessing they did not want him to face Baez a second time in that situation.

2 nice IPs in AFL ...
