A pretty inspiring story about a young fan and Fernando.

I remember how this season started in South Korea and how Ha-Seong Kim went out of his way to make his fellow teammates at home.  I don't think he wants exit San Diego this way, i.e., missing the last month and a half of the season and all the playoffs. Even if he doesn't have to have off-season surgery, I think he'll surprise everyone and exercise his part of the mutual option (and/or the Padres will give him a little sweetner of 2-3 million for a 1 year extension).  At that salary, he stays with the Padres in 2025.  Got my fingers crossed because we are a much much better defensive team with Kim on the field plus he was just getting hot at the plate when he got injured.  Keep the faith!

With 1 game left in the 2024 baseball season, our San Diego Padres have the exact same record as the mighty New York Yankees.

Anyone here( or anywhere for that matter????) expect that the day we traded Juan Soto?????

Can't express enough what an incredible job AJ has done, and Mike Schildt, and every

player that has put on the brown and gold this season.

WHAT A YEAR FOR PADRE BASEBALL!!!!!!!

No. I didn't.

The Padres are currently tied for the 3rd best record in MLB and could finish with the a tie  for the 2nd best record in MLB depending on what happens in the final day of the regular season.

Dodgers 97-64
Phillies 94-67
Brewers 93-68
Yankees 93-68
Padres 93-68

If Ohtani goes 4-for-5, while Arraez goes 1-for-3. Both players would then finish the season exactly 200-for-637 (.314).

I'd be OK with that 🙂

Do you guys realize that this year’s team will end up with the second-best record in franchise history ?

Daaaaamnnn….

If Merrill goes 4 for 4 in the final game of the regular season, he will finish with a .301 avg this season. I hope he does it.

200!

(And Ohtani is 0-for-3 as I type this ... so ...)

FTBT!  (For the Batting Title)

The Padres finish the season with the 4th best record in MLB tied with the Brewers.
