Kim to Giants almost a done deal is the rumor.
Was my guess so wouldn’t surprise me.
Interested to see the financials if true

I wouldn't be surprised to see Kim end up on the Giants, but the "sources" I've seen saying it's close seem questionable at best.

Well Mr P, if you want rumors how about Arenado playing 1B in SD? Giving SD an INF of Machado, Bogaerts, Crone, Arenado, with DH of Arraez.
Obviously we still need a LFer and some SPers, but wonder if it is possible if STL paid enough of his contract. And dont forget that he played in STL with Shildt.
Although he has star power, his bat has been declining since leaving COL(duh) and is not a true 1B bat IMO at this point. I think this would be a bad trade......so it will probably happen!

St Louis would have to pay 60% of his salary for that to happen….plus the prospects we’d lose.
Losing his D at 3b makes him a $15 mil player at the most IMO.
But,did anyone else see Blake Snells IG now shows him in a dodger uniform?

Deferred money involved, shocking! At this pace, there is a possibility they could end up paying enough players to field a team (Starting line up and rotation), with them actually not playing for the bums, that is insane!

I expected the Dodgers to make a big splash for a starter. I hate that it's Snell. He seemed like a really good guy on and off the field while he was with us. I wanted to be able to root for him on a different team. I'm guessing the Dodgers are going to go with a 6 man rotation. That's what Ohtani prefers and what most of the guys coming over from Japan are used to. I think it could actually be a selling point for Sasaki.
I'm not really upset about the deferred money on this one. Having some amount of the contract deferred on big contracts isn't uncommon. Snell's deferrals seem pretty reasonable. Ohtani's are ridiculous.

I guess one positive is that he is set for life, guys with his talent and performance shouldn't worry about money, some of his struggles delayed his payday for a year, I guess the bums will play their game buying as much as they want and our front office guys will have to really outsmart them in a big way.
