Vanderbilt are really know as a tough sign players. Padres probably has a deal already set before.
Pads probably have an under slot (say 10 overall $$) deal already agreed upon with Weathers saving them a few $$$ to go after an overslot guy or 2 at 38 and/or 74.... Not like Weathers was a huge reach or anything, he was still regarded as a top 10-15...

Yeah. No way they make this pick without absolute certainty he signs for a manageable number. Guessing they have couple tough signs targeted tonight as we go along. Similar situation as when they took Hedges in 2012 (?). Talent will be there, especially hs arms.

Turang is off selected by the Brewers. I was hoping he would fall to is. Hoping for Hawkins doubt Naylor make it to the Padres.

Can someone send me a good scouting report on Edwards. I see he has great speed, however Ive read a couple where they dont think he will stay at short due to lack of arm strength. So are we looking at a faster Urias in 4 years, or elite level speedster for SS? Please help me out.
