The signing period ends next Friday .... and per usual Padres procedure silence in the key.
We had the report (not from the Padres) that Little signed but nothing official has emerged.
Have not heard out the #10 pick Jose Quezada out of Texas Tech too ... a Senior as I recall and should be an easy sign for the minimum BUT radio silence.
Not fully surprised (or concerned) about #1 Ryan Weathers that that is lingering ... maybe we see him in SD for the Pittsburgh homestead as a PR move.
The one down to the wire concern is that they have 5 unsigned HS picks between #12-#19 .... that is a lot of picks to have hanging out there this late. Normally we see HS picks #20 and beyond in limbo but these rounds normally get signed. Not that much under allotment as far as I can tell (unless a surprise from Weathers) so probably not a lot of bonuses to hand out greater than the $125K level.

This could all be due to the Weather signing. If they can save some money from his signing, they may be holding out in order to offer these kids some extra dough to sign.

Weathers' signing pretty much locks up the draft class then.

Keep in mind that the Padres can spend OVER the allocation (up to 5%) without losing any future draft picks ... just for a monetary penalty of 75% of the overage ... should not be a concern of the Padres.
Allocation is $10.462MM, so they can spend up to $523K additional while just incurring a penalty of $392K. Add that $523 to whatever the have left under the allocation from the pool signings. A lot may depend on what they signed #10 for ... a college SR should be near minimum ... could add $100K plus (note: not sure why he has not signed even if he does not want to play).
Bottom line the Padres COULD have as much as $600 - 700K to play with to sign the HS prospects. Frankly if they fell this far in the draft ... not sure they are worth any extreme bonus so if they will sign at all, this should get it done for some.

I kept it in mind, we only had 2.5% of the pool to work with since Edwards was so expensive.

Did a quick check on MLB Draft Tracker for the signing bonuses:
#1 Weathers is the only Padre signing matching the allocation for their slot and after that
CBA pick Edwards was OVER slot by +$721,700 then all the rest were UNDER SLOT:
Little ............ $12,200
Miller ........... $194,500
Coleman ...... $2,800
Sutton .......... $25,000
Vega ............. $32,700
Harris .......... $6,000
Wilson ......... $170,400
Becker ......... $146,600
Quezada ...... $136,600
So put that all together and the Padres apparently have come in $6,300 UNDER SLOT and as yet have signed on one over $125K from rounds 11 and beyond. So I guess they have about $525K to pay (over the $125K limit) to one or more of the picks remaining without losing a draft pick.
Of course a different question is if any are worth and enhanced bonus ... no idea.

Hmm I was sure someone mentioned he brought us 400k over slot. Oh well. As for the statement of were done, it comes back to not taking the 5% last year.

MLB Draft Tracker shows that the Padres now have signed 15th round selection Nick Thwaits (HS, RHP) for $450,000 ... that is $325,000 over the ceiling for that pick and that gets charged to the bonus pool. Combine that with the overage of $175,000 given to Gulibe and the Padres have gone over by about $500,000 (and incurred the financial penalty) but fell just short of losing any draft picks.
If this is valid ... they are likely done signing picks.

Nick Thwaits has a low 90s FB with a good "spin rate" .... passed on a scholarship to Kent State.
