Seattle Mariners at San Diego Padres: April 14-16

The Padres are riding high after sweeping the Rockies, a 5-game winning streak, winning 8 of the last 9 games, winning 9 of the last 11 games and moving to one game behind the first place Dodgers.
They have always had a tough time playing the Mariners, who just swept the Astros and coming into this series with a 4-game win streak. The Padres went 1-5 against the Mariners last season and have not won a series over the Mariners since. 2021 when they swept them at Petco.
They will face tough pitching. But they have proved they can overcome it, like they did to the Rockies top pitchers scoring 28 runs and hitting 6 home runs. The Padres will have two of their top pitchers in this series and a strong BP as well.
Tatis, Campy and France's bats have come alive this weekend. Let's hope they continue hitting. The Mariners have top hitters Donovan, Raley, and Dumper Raleigh, despite having a below .200 average is tied with Raley for the most RBI in their club with 10.
NL West Matchups
Dodgers(12-4) host Mets(7-10)
Diamondbacks(9-8) at Orioles(9-7)
Rockies(6-10) at Astros(6-11)
Giants(6-10) at Reds(9-7)
I believe they will win this series and again a sweep will be sweet.

Seattle has had the Padres number recently but despite their 4 game sweep of the last place Astros, they do not have a winning record on the road (7-4 home, 1-5 road). Padres appear to be in a good place with their line-up despite the big 3 - Tatis, Merrill and Machado - not showing numbers that reflect how hard they've hit the ball. Seems like we are now set with Laureano at the top of the line-up and somewhat of a mix and match after the top 4 depending upon the pitcher/pitching. If the bench keeps coming through more good things will happen with this line-up that will help cover up whatever inadequacies we have in our SP.
I'll be at the game on Wednesday and hope we are still on our win streak when my wife and I attend. GO PADRES!!!

Dodgers won yesterday. Padres drop to 1.5 games back. But, they are keeping it close
