San Diego Padres @ New York Mets: Sept 16-18

PreviousPage 3 of 3

How can an offense that supposed to be as good as the Padres have the inability to produce runs off a pitcher with a 8.43 ERA entering the series?

On top of that, as already have been said, they have committed another costly base running blunder.

I think taking Vasquez out after giving up only two runs was a mistake. IMO, he should have left in. Instead Schildt brings in Peralta, who has gives up a 3-run bomb the first batter he faces.

The Padres are for the moment 2.5 games behind the Dodgers. Let's hope Webb and the Giants take care of them tonight.

Let's hope the Padres play a lot better against the lowly White Sox.

GO PADRES!

There is something Schildt really doesn't like about Vázquez, If I remember correctly, last year he let him go through those though innings, sometimes It worked, sometimes It didn't, this year he wants none of that, as soon as there is trouble he pulls the trigger.

Dodgers won. Padres 3 games back.
