We know that if they make the playoffs, Musgrove and Darvish (If he can get on track quickly) can deliver in that kind of spot, I am really uncomfortable with King and Cease, they have those weird moments every one or two games where they look like a AAAA pitcher.

The Padres win. Cease pitched 5 solid, scoreless innings and then could not find the plate. Scott and Suarez shuts them down. Suarez earned his 30th save. I was hoping for a sweep, but a least the Padres took the series.

Dbacks beat the Dodgers. The Padres gained a game in the Dodgers and are 5 games backs as are the Dbacks.

Now, the Padres will head back home to face the Tigers to begin their final stretch.
