The Padres win the series and their 6th in a row. They have reached their 80th win of the season.
Despite a couple of bad pitches for 2 HR. King was outstanding going 7 IP.
Rodriquez could not get anyone out. He doesn't seem to pitch well in these situations. Morejon comes in and shuts them down and once again Miller closed the door.
Pivetta on the mound tomorrow.Let's get out the brooms for the sweep.

The Phillies, Dbacks and Dodgers all lost. The Cubs won. The Padres are 1.5 games ahead of the Dbacks and 2.5 games behind the top wild card spot.

Padres sweep Giants and win their 7th in a row. The Dodgers, Cubs, and Dbacks all lost.
The Padres pad their lead over the Dbacks to 2 1/2 and move up to 1 1/2 games behind the top wild card and home field advantage.
I wonder why Pivetta was taken out after 4 IP. He was doing very well.
The Padres head to Colorado for the final time this season. They should take care of the Rackies.

No announcements have been made to support this but, from watching the game, he was favoring his leg. I hope he is not hurt.

Yeah, I've never seen a pitcher fall that far off the mound after every pitch. Certainly looks like he was favouring something.

He is on a pitch count, thats why the pulled him.
