San Diego Padres at San Francisco Giants June 2-5

UNBELIEVABLE!
Just when I thought the Padres were going to cruise to a win with a 5-0 lead, they blew that lead and lost. Pivetta was solid through 5 and then collapsed in the 7th inning and his pitch count was not high entering that inning. Adam could not get it done. I thought Schildt brought in the wrong pitcher in the 7th.
At least the Dodgers lost, too.
They can still take the series tomorrow with Cease on ther mound.
GO PADRES!

Be nice tomorrow if Cease actually came out and pitched like a #1 some believe him to be. He needs to spread zero's over 7/8 innings, give our bullpen a rest, take some pressure off the O to score more than a few runs.
Big chance to take the series against a division rival, in their house.
Time for Dylan to start pitching like an ace.

Don’t have a big issue with Cease … in only 1 start did he give up more than 3 runs and with a little offensive support he would have a lot of wins from those 11.
Need OFFENSE to support all the SP that comparatively is very good.

The dodgers playing poorly has really helped....but I don't expect them to keep playing this way.
While we haven't lost ground we needed to gain ground while they're playing poorly.
Opportunity lost.
We have the dodgers ahead of us but would have been nice to gain more ground the last two weeks

It seems that is is almost always that if the Padres win, the Dodgers win or if the Dodgers lose, the Padres lose. The Padres need to change that to the Padres win and the Dodgers lose.

Well, it could have been worse. The Giants taking the series. After the first two, I thought for sure the Padres were going to win at least 3. The Padres outhit the Giants in every game this series.
I consider Cease to be the least effective pitcher in the rotation. Morgan was outstanding. He should have been brought in last night in the 7th instead of Adam.
Iglesias, who is slow, should have slid into second instead of going in standing getting out.
On to Milwaukee.

It could've been worse, but after the first two games, It should've been better.

The Dodgers won. Padres drop back to two games behind.
For some reason the Padres have a hard time winning win the Dodgers lose.
