San Diego Padres at Pittsburgh Pirates: April 6-8
Quote from ultratvfan on April 7, 2026, 6:24 pmDespite giving up two runs, Pivetta pitch pretty good. Bogaerts botched an inning ending DP opening the floodgates and I thought Stammens left Morejon in too long. This all said, Skenes was tough. My assessment is based on listening to the game.
Keller will be on the mound tomorrow morning and will be tough. King on the mound for the Padres.
Time to start another win streak.
GO PADRES!

I watched the game and Pivetta was excellent ... command and movement. A bit unfortunate on the runs allowed ... first hit the Padres had an extreme shift of Machado towards the SS spot and then a weak ground ball by a LHH to the 3B slot ... second a weak INF dribbler to 3B ... 3rd again on an shift of Machado to the SS slot a grounder past 3B and two runs came in. Give credit to the PITT hitters who took what the Padres gave.
Skenes was all he was cracked up to be ... dominated.
Just win tomorrow.

Let's keep it going v. COL at home.

Quote from ultratvfan on April 8, 2026, 12:23 pmThe Padres outlasted Keller to take the series.
King was outstanding and the offense came alive in the last 3 innings.
Time to come home and crush the Rockies.
