It is  that kind of season ... bring in Adam who had not given up a run since late April (14 appearances) to hold a game the Padres squeaked into a tie and he implodes yielding two HR.

Before the season both SD and PHIL were viewed as having strong offenses ... hard to believe but YTD in runs scored in MLB:

#29 PHIL (233) ... Schwarber, Harper, Turner, Marsh, etc

#30 SD (229) ... Machado, Tatis, Merrill, Bogaerts, etc.

It is a strange season not only for SD.

Like my mom use to say "I don't care was everybody is doing, I care about what you are doing", now, to be fair, we knew the window of opportunity was from 2022-2024, no way they could've extended that further with the soul less type of players they have, don't like to admit It, we can hate on the smurfs all we want (because of big signings, fan base, etc), but, you know what, I do admire that It doesn't matter If it's April or October, they play every night as If, they MUST win that game, the Padres (starting with the leader) play as If the only games that matter are played in September, as If they are entitled to be part of the playoffs, talent alone took them there a couple of times, but I am not so sure they are aware that they have to earn it, maybe that Is why Profar was so valuable, steroids or not, he brought It, every single night.

Another outstanding pitching performance wasted and another bases-loaded opportunity wasted. It looks like the Padres are going to drop 7 games back of the Dodgers.
