Shildt should have brought in Suarez. IMO, He mismanaged the pitching.

Solid performance by Kolek wasted. Offense had opportunities.

Why is it so hard for the Padres to win when the Dodger lose. Padres are still one game back.

Gotta take the series tomorrow.

GO PADRES!

UGH...SO CLOSE!!!

I hope these won't be our only opportunities to pass the Duds. It's looking like a serious mental block with these guys- the complete collapse from last years playoffs( we lost, they didn't beat us) and now this year, every chance to catch or go past, we implode.

Someone, at some point soon is going to have to lift this group on his shoulders and put us over the top. Don't care if it's one of the 100 millionaires or an as yet signed FA, just needs to be done! Sooner the better.

If I am not mistaken, the bums and the Pads schedule has been very similar, putting aside 3 or 4 series, when one plays a good team, the other one also does, and when one plays a bad teams the other one also does, also, most of the time when one is at home the other one plays at home also, same case for road games, in fact, If you remove both Tokyo games for LAD, they have played the same amount of games, and have the same record, of course, It feels like the Pads could have a 4 to 5 games lead, but maybe their fans feel the same way... Ooh and also, my kids has been telling me that the bums get a lot of plays their way, as in the baseball gods have been on their side in a lot of games, like, they usually come back, but with an error, wild pitch, blooper, etc, which would tells me that they will run out of lock at some point.

Game 3 Lineup
1. Tatis RF
2. Arraez DH
3. Machado 3B
4. Merrill CF
5. Sheets 1B
6. Bogaerts SS
7. Cronenworth 2B
8. Wade LF
9. Moldanado C

The Padres prevail this time winning the series and a pitching duel on the Brew Crew's turf.

Berget was outstanding outpitching Peralta. The BP held and Suarez earns his 21 st save.

Now they come home to take care of  the bums.

GO PADRES!

Where would we be without Manny carrying the offense for the past month or so? He's unbelievably hot right now. Bergert and the bullpen deserve a lot of credit today too. It's pretty amazing that we've won so many games with so little production from the rest of the offense.

We have gotten a lot of outstanding pitching from unexpected sources, Vasquez, Kolek & Bergert.  Need King & Darvish back soon, pitching like top of the rotation starters.  We need to get some more innings out of our starters, need 6+ innings instead of the usual 5+ innings we have been getting to help the bullpen last throughout the entire regular season and hopefully a long post season run.

Additionally, I thought Hoeing was going to be a starter this year, but his shoulder was bothering him form before spring training got started.  Has anyone heard how his rehab is going, not much info. out there about it?  Go Pads!

I did some searching on google, it appears Hoeing last couple of rehab outings have been pretty good.  It appears he will be coming back in the 'pen as he is only pitching one inning outings on his rehab.  Rotowire suggested that Hoeing might have to build up to 2-inning appearances plus pitch on back-to-back days before he completes his rehab.  Could possibly be up mid-to-late June.  He might bump Captain David Morgan from the 25 man roster.  Go Pads!
