He's had, what, 6 or 7 months to build up his endurance?
Not to overstate the obvious but the organization needs to figure out a better way to handle its SP.
He started the 6th inning, and was probably pulled due to pitch count. Box score shows 102 pitches. Problem with him is throwing strikes. Of the 102, only 66 were strikes.

I would have liked to see Cease be a bit more efficient with a big lead, but I can't be mad at 5 innings of 1 run ball at Coors. His command still wasn't great. It seemed like he did a good job of mixing in the knuckle curve and sinker a bit more than he usually does. It was the best start he's had in awhile.
