San Diego Padres at Colorado Rockies: April 21-23

PreviousPage 2 of 3Next

The  Padres lost, but so did the Dodgers.

I am more upset with the offense's lack of production and missing opportunities than than Buehler and the BP not getting it done.

Kudos to Campy. He did not get a hit last season and now he is the best hitter with the highest average on the team.

Also, I want to see more of Ty France than Castellanos.

They need to win the rubber match tomorrow. Waldron needs to step it up and the offense needs to come alive.

GO PADRES!

I defended Castellanos a bit not too long ago. I never really believed in him, but he had a solid spring and I thought some of his early ABs looked solid even if the results weren't there. Now I think it might be time to pull the plug. He's always been an aggressive hitter. I just don't think he has the physical ability to make that approach work anymore. The ABs are looking worse. The defense is brutal too. It's not his fault they put him out there. I think there were 3 or 4 balls that got by him that I think a better first basemen could have made a play on tonight though. It might be time to swap him out for Song or Miranda. I could make a case for Pablo Reyes too. I might even consider adding Rodolfo Duran and giving Campy some DH days when he's not catching. I just think there has to be a better use of a roster spot at this point.

Waldron making it tough on himself here.

I assume he gets another start or two but if doesn't making better pitches, he'll find himself out of a job.

I guess having guys like Marquez, Buehler and Waldron in the starting rotation finally caught up to them, I get Matt doesn't have over powering stuff, but at least, locate the stupid ball dude, he will have one or two more turns because our other options are not ready, but as soon as they are, he is a "goner".

I wonder what the worst performance for an opponents 2-4 hitters is at Coors Field, in a 3 game series?

FTJ, Merrill, and Manny look absolutely hopeless. Still, 4 innings to go🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽

HOLY SHEETS!!!!!!

Was not enjoying this one……for 8 innings

Mickey Moniak is the new Charlie Blackmon

The Reaper gets the Save without a strikeout and also the Franchise consecutive scoreless streak.

6 straight series wins

Just when I thought the Padres were going to lose and fall 1 game back of the Dodgers, they  cane from behind and came alive and took the lead on a Sheets 3-run bomb. Then, Miller closes the door.

Miller ties the record for longest scoreless innings in Franchise history with Cla Meredith. Next time he will hold the record. The MLB record which is 59 by Orel Hersheiser.

GO PADRES!
