The Padres leave Chicago with a win and head to Sacramento, not Oakland, to face the A's to wrap up the road trip. They will face only one lefty in this series. The A's are 0-3 against teams that are above .500 and 0-3 at their temporary home in Sacramento's AAA stadium, Sutter Health Park. There is no reason in the world that the Padres should not sweep this team. They have swept them the last two seasons.

This will be a great opportunity to get another streak going. After the A's, the Padres will head home to face the Rockies, another team they should sweep, and then the Cubs and Imanaga again.

The Dodgers head to Washington to play the Nats, Giants host the Reds, The Dbacks host the Orioles and the Rockies host the Brewers.

GO PADRES!

2 Ws Is all I ask for, same with the Rockies, they always play the Pads hard, for some reason.

Springs is the kind of guy that could give us fits.

Hopefully not more than Cease gives the A's.

Merrill sitting out with hamstring tightness.

The Dodgers lose to the Nats.

The Padres win!

They extend their win streak to two, move in first place in the division as the Giants, Dodgers and Dbacks lose, and currently have the best record in baseball.

Both Tatis and Cronenworth hit homers and Suarez earns his 5th save.

Let's take game two
GO PADRES!

Padres win. Dodgers and Giants lose. We're officially in first place with the best record in baseball.

Tatis is looking REALLY good so far. Don't want to jinx it but could this be his year? Average, steals, runs scored, defense....I'm expecting career bests. He'll be our best player.

I've listened to a bit of the radio broadcasts (via mlb.com) ... they consistently are saying that he's not taking ANY bad swings ... ie. never getting fooled ... very in control of every AB ... those are magic words!
