If Cronenworth and Bogaerts handle Thomas's grounder better they might have gotten out of the 7th still in the lead. At high elevation and during a streak of 15 games in 16 days I'm guessing they were being a little cautious with the bullpen usage. It seemed like they were trying to avoid using the guys that pitched in the first game if possible and it cost them.

They weren't going to lose a series and it is a long season with a tough three game set coming up against the Cubs.  It would have been nice to sweep but I want to not waste my high leverage arms in high altitude with less than predictable results - got to go for the long game.

Still need to get Tati elevating the ball more and Merrill to find his grove although both are still hitting the ball hard. Croney looks like he really could use some time off; maybe we'll see France as well as Tati play a little more second base during this next home stand.   Is Castellanos done?  This week should tell, especially if he doesn't start 2-3 games.  Campy hitting out of his mind but got to keep small sample size in perspective, however, it does make it easier to rest Fermin, who seems to really take a beating behind the plate.  Haven't said this in awhile, but I like out catching situation (and Salas appears to be coming to life down in San Antonio).
