Something I still don't quite understand is why teams don't just intentionally walk a guy to set up the force at the plate and the double play in that situation. When a run ends the game it seems like the benefits would outweigh the drawbacks. I don't know that it would have made any difference, but it seems strange that the default for most teams is still to pitch to the batter in that scenario.

Totally agree Jeremy.
There's certainly a strategy that needs to be implemented. Bo Mel still hasn't figured it out.

I'm not sure how many extra innings games we've played, but we've lost all of them.

We can’t even string 3-4 hits together in an inning.
The Yankees have 8 this inning?

And the inning isn’t even over.
Are we ever going to have an offense like that?

I just can't believe we're this far in to the season and Melvin has no idea how to construct his line up.
Have we posted the same batting order 3 games in a row? Or even 2?

Finally do get some hits and a chance to tie with Tatis at the plate and two balls called strikes that were 6+ inches low basically leaving him helpless down o-2 and forced to swing at anything close.
Guess he should have swung at all three balls?
Maybe the electronic system won’t be good…but “maybe” it will be consistently bad instead of what we have….which no one has any idea what it even is.
It’s different every game and with every Ump.The only thing consistent about balls and strikes is its inconsistency.
You can disagree Booster but that AB with the game on the line for Tatis was just horrible!
