No Soto... Campusano and Eguy in KC not activated yet...

Kim leading off. I thought we might start to see that against lefties. It's a little concerning that Soto is out again after the off day.

Campusano activated … Alfaro to IL

Luis Campusano is expected to be activated while Jorge Alfaro (knee) goes on the IL.

So Campy C Sunday with Menaea P...Nola today and tomorrow..Mus and Yu... I can see Rosario getting a Start vs a lefty and Crone off .. likely both stay up for the rest of the season with Alfaro coming back 28th spot.. as 1 of the 2 spots in Sept roster expansion is position player and the other P..

Campusano is an interesting call … Alfaro’s injury force a move (he was really struggling) but Gallagher / Sullivan are not impressing in EP.
Based on some comments (DSmith show) from Smith and Dennis Lin … does not sound as though the Padres see Campusano as their future catcher. This is sort of where it got vague but NOT an issue of not hard working and not really an issue of his handling the defense but “something” that they feel will not allow him to make that next step. Vague but something to keep an eye on.
