Beating the Dodgers is nice, but they have to find a way to perform at the same level against <.500 teams, they are 11-12 vs them I think

Vázquez does not seem to have a put away pitch.

Effing embarrassing!

It would be if it wasn't expected, same story of at least the last 5 years, after winning what it felt like a big series, the next night they come out all flat against a pitcher with a 6.00+ ERA

So, I'm in Hawaii at the moment and the Padres are blacked out on MLB TV. It makes no sense.

What's up with Tatis and all these grounders?

I mentioned that earlier in the season. It does seem to happen at a far greater rate than years past.

This!

I was going to come on and suggest we needed to see a sweep here to get this season going! But as has been mentioned, this team lacks that killer mentality. With Bogaerts finally starting to show some life, we should have enough offense to win a lot more than we lose.

That said, I can't remember the last time I saw a Padre team this bad at Baseball 101: defense and base running. They'll need to get back to basics if they expect to make it to the post season.

Last year?

On one hand frustrating but putting the race in perspective … the “under-performing” Padres have the 6th best record in the NL and are in a playoff slot. Has to be tough to follow the 9 teams trailing the Padres (all with losing records).
