The top 2 OBPs in today's line up are in the 7th and 8th spots in the lineup ... hmmm ...
Urias now with better OBP than ... Margot, Myers, Machado, Renfroe, Hosmer, and Mejia!

The only team I've ever heard that tops Orisllo and Grant was Vasgersian and Grant. I find them supremely enjoyable and can make any game an entertaining watch regardless of the on-field outcome.
Also, if you're taking it personally that a color announcer jokingly used the term "yahoo" to describe anyone still watching at the tail end of a blowout... Sheesh. Chill pill, dude.

#1 announcing team in baseball in 2019 after finishing 3rd, 4th, and 5th in 2018, 2017, and 2016.

Saw that before I posted ... still disagree with the poll by "Awful Announcing" whoever they are and no idea who they polled and what the criteria was.
I should note that most of the local announcers across MLB are bad (actually boring) ... a tough gig.
Since it is all about me (and what entertains me) ... Orsillo is good / Grant is bad.

On a more positive note, Urias is beginning to show his potential ... saw his defense early (and looked comfortable at SS) ... has shown he can take a walk (about a 16% BB rate is good in this league) while not having a high K% ... and now hits are starting to fall and with RISP. Even when the AVG was down the OBP was mid-300s (good).

Another good outing from Quantrill ... 108 pitches (a lot in the 1st inning as TB did a lot of fouling balls off). First two batters score then 5 1/3 innings of shut out ball. Securing his spot as a SP going into 2020.

Dave Campbell was my favorite ... sure Jerry was good / lovable ... and he was better when Campbell was by his side ... those were good ol' days!
I liked Matt Vasgersian also!
And 2020 and beyond will be good also ... with or without Mark Grant 🙂

But have no issue with Don and Mud.
It’s not easy making Padre baseball entertaining for 162 games.
Probably much easier when you’re a Yankee or Dodger announcer winning 80+ games “every” year.

Urias' .352 OBP is 3rd on the team, behind only Tatis & Garcia... way ahead of 4/5 Machado & Hosmer both @ .334
... with a .186 BA
Think in everything but the first 50 AB this year Urias will prove to be EXACTLY what this team needs: Extremely high OBP helping pull team OBP up near top of order
