Padres vs Phillies NL Championship Series Oct 18-25

Game 1: Darvish
Game 2: Blake Snell
Game 3: Joe Musgrove

It's unclear who would start Game 4. Mike Clevinger, the team's No. 4 starter, is the favorite despite his poor outing in Game 1 against the Dodgers.

From there, things get complicated by the absence of an off-day between Game 5 in Philadelphia on Oct. 23 and Game 6 in San Diego on Oct. 24. Darvish and Snell could start those games, respectively, on normal rest. But Game 7 on Oct. 25 might require a short-rest Musgrove.

Darvish - Snell - OFF - Musgrove and pray for rain? Maybe just win it in 6 or less games?

1st 2 at Petco I'd like a 2-0 lead.  Lyrics for game 1 will be posted tomorrow ..need to get mindset reset..

Weather looks good for all 7 games (if we need 7).. Phillies games in the low 60s high/mid 50s..kind of like NY.. San Diego comfortable high/mid 60s.. not too warm for day game 2...low80s/high70s

What's the weather supposed to be like next week in Cleveland?

🙂

Arrows are raining from the sky As brothers fight side by side

We're outnumbered

But our destiny is to win

FIGHT!

Fight with the rage of a bear!

DEFEND!

Our homeland!

CRUSH!

Crush every enemy!

AND SEAL!

Our victory!

5 Wins 8 to Go Lets Go Padres!

I would imagine with a RHSP on the mound tonight, we will see Profar leading off, then Soto and Machado. I would imagine that Bell is the DH. Do you go with Myers or Drury? And Grisham should start in CF due to his better defense and hot streak in the playoffs over Azocar. And I would imagine that with two days off and Darvish on the mound, Nola gets the start behind the plate.

Profar, Soto, Machado, Bell, Crone, Myers, Kim, Grisham, Nola.

I thought I'd be happy and content to just beat the dodgers and get this far.

But we've beat the Mets and the dodgers....which means we can beat anyone.

I want more!

I want the Championship this year....and then again next year with Fernando involved.

Hell...has any team won it THREE years in a row?!

🙂

I am hoping that the players dont feel the same way. Yeah, we beat the Duds, our season is good.

Dont let down, keep focused, power through and get the WS win.

8 more wins!!!

And to answer your question, NYY, 1949-1953, and then 1998, 1999, and 2000.
