The Nats look like a team that was designed to sell with the likes of Winker, Senzel, Gallo and Rosario playing on bounce back type deals. They've been one of the bigger surprises of the season. I still like they should sell or move on from those guys to make room for some of their prospects like Wood. With them just a half game back in the wild card race it could be hard for them to pull the trigger. Hopefully we can take the series and make the decision a little easier.

Nothing against him,just don't like the optics if he were to come in and beat Darivsh.

Acee is saying there's a chance Darvish doesn't make the start tomorrow. Apparently he's dealing with a new issue and we'll hear more today. He says Tatis could still go on the IL too and Bryce Johnson is with the team just in case.

Even if Tatis does not go on the IL, Bryce Johnson deserves a chance.  Switch hitter is close to .900 in OPS with a 15.1% BB rate supporting his .430 OBP; his K rate is under 20%.  Sure he hits in the PCL but he's also 18 of 20 in SB and a very good defensive OF.  For the latter reason, Id pick him over Ornelas but if Tatis does go on the IL, Id bring them both up.  Peralta is toast.  Has had many opportunities to shine and failed plus is a miserable OF.

At this point, Pauley is not ready - needs the rest of the year to regain his swing mechanics/confidence after being put on the roster way too early this year.  Despite his struggles in El Paso this year, still has the most advanced swing from the left side of any of our prospects, including Salas and Sanabria.   Expect Pauley to finish strong and start showing his hitting chops next year.

Tatis is headed to the IL. Azocar and Brito are being sent down. Johnson, Rosario and Mazur will take their spots. Mazur will start tomorrow. Darvish is dealing with elbow inflammation.
