Something tells me Mejia is a good golfer!

Cricket! Give that batsman a “6” ... runs that is.

We got absolutely nothing from Hosmer,Machado,Myers and Renfroe in this series.

They combined to strikeout 11 times in 2 games.

Didnt drive in a run or score a run.

Ugh!

Getting worried about Lucchesi’s future based on his lack of command. Yes, he had a nice stat line but it took him 100 pitches to get through 5 1/3 innings. That happens too often and just kills the bullpen with being over used.  Maybe on a staff with a few pitchers that do go 6-7 consistently maybe ... but as the veteran without a constraint of on workload ... should go deeper more consistently.

With the near term arrivals of Gore and Patino ... to go with Paddack ... and the apparently emergence of Quantrill and return of Lamet ... he may become trade fodder (along with Lauer) sooner than we thought. Next trade deadline when there is always a need for SP .. low cost ... under control even if only a 4-5 type.

I’m giving Lucchesi and Lauer until the end of next year before I consider either tradable assets.

Both dudes are still learning on the fly( weren’t they the first two from their draft class to make the show?)

They’ve certainly shown me enough. Now we just need AG to allow these kids a chance to throw past the 5th/6th inning, 100 pitch mythical limits so they can ACTUALLY learn how to pitch the third and fourth time through a big league lineup.

Myers went 3 for 9 with an RBI.

Solid series......had it not been for the 3 K’s today......
