Back on the saddle again!

Is Seattle battling for seeding in AL playoffs? If so, doesn't bode well for our guys.

Although, would be sweet to see Nola justify( at least for 1 or 2 nights) the trade with a big hit or 2. Watching low cost, controllable, home grown Ty France play like an All Star is tough.

.177 .215 .319 France last 30 games

.244 .340 .300 Nola last 30 games... God do we need Nola to slg a little.

Seattle and Toronto are dead even for the top wild card with Tampa Bay a half game behind them. It's similar to the NL situation where the 3rd wild card might be the real prize though. They all have better records that Cleveland.

Gilbert and Castillo are both really good. We're going to need the good Clevinger to show up. This next stretch might just determine our fate. With Milwaukee down 2 starters and set to play the Cardinals, Yankees, and Mets over their next 8 games we really need to pickup a few games before we see the Dodgers again.

We play 8 games vs current playoff teams the rest of the way

Brewers play 10 games

Phillies play 14 games

No excuses.. Get the Job Done!

Although I have no doubt at this point that Seattle will be trying to win … the AL Wild Card is virtually a lock and only positioning is at issue.  Seattle, Toronto, and TB all have 61 losses and the closest contender has 67 … so a 6 game lead in the loss column … pretty hard to get caught in the remaining games. That might have some affect on how Seattle manages games … maybe resting some players (especially RP) and maybe giving some bench options some more playing time to get ready for the playoffs.

What a game ... Oh Doctor!

Myers .. Soto with clutch RBIs ... Yu with a Masterpiece ...and Hader being vintage Hader (aka best Closer this decade) striking out 3 for the Save...

Great ABs to wear down Seattle's SP and get him out... outstanding!

Lets Go San Diego Padres! Huge Win!

Do we expect Drury back soon? We could really do with his run production.

SP goes  8 shutout innings , Hader Ks 3 in the 9th . We now have the blueprint for the rest of the season .

All kidding aside what a game by Yu and Hader looked like the guy we traded for . Today's game wont be any easier with Castillo pitching .
