Padres vs Dodgers May 5-7

PreviousPage 2 of 3Next

I didn't get to see much of it since I was at the Storm game, but it doesn't seem like it could have gone much better. Tatis with another monster game off of Kershaw, Manny with a nice night, tons of guys on base and good pitching.

HUGE win....so nice to have FTJ back!

Off topic but have been reading in the SDUT lately that the city has an issue with homeless encampments downtown.

Is this effecting anyone's ballpark experience?  I certainly don't wish to sound callous about a real life problem but just wondering if some don't like going to the ballpark because the downtown area isn't terribly user friendly?

Anyone for LE have a good night, Jeremy?

I posted something in the minor league discussion thread. It was 12-0 through 6 and ended 12-5. Pauley was impressive at the plate and based on his numbers I think he might be too good for the level. Snelling was very impressive on the mound. 5 scoreless with 9 Ks and only gave up 1 hit.

Lots of Dodgers fans melting down over this. Maybe we'll get another speech from Dave Roberts about how we need to show Kershaw more respect.

Back to no run support for Snell 2 -1 L.

3rd straight QS for Snell.. 1 mistake no not the HR.. the BB with 2 outs and a perfect game going..WTF dude?...Obviously Snell from the stretch <vs Snell from the windup.. and also his mental lapse once he lost the perfect game.. which was visable.. dude lost focus and Boom 2-0 LAD.. STILL He should have won this game or at least not lost it.. we faced some great pitching and had some crap umpiring vs and for us But hey good game..as every LAD vs SDP should be.. at least not the 8-2 blow outs against us of the past..

Time to win the Series tomorrow..

LFGXD

That was a pretty sad offensive showing by most of the team. May was nasty and a few guys let it get to them. They've got to be able to get Tatis in to score in that situation. The team has been unbelievably bad with RISP.

Is it time for Cronenworth to get a shot in the 2 hole? I haven't looked at our average from that spot in the lineup but I can't imagine it's anywhere even near the Mendoza line? Moving Jake up ceratinly couldn't hurt.

We've only scored 1 or zero runs in 10 games so far this year, roughly a third of our games. It's time for BoMel to shake things up.

And what is the situation with FTJ- you reckon he has the green light whenever? He got on base 3 times last night and only advanced 1 base( on a groundout). Time to see those wheels get some action. Kid is the most dynamic baserunner since Vince Coleman!

I'm guessing it's a conscious effort by the team and Tatis to try to keep him healthy by having him run less.
