Happy for Azocar … he is securing a role as a part-time / back-up OF with good defense, speed, and at least passable hitting (no power).

Spent 9 years in the minors … released by a Tigers’ minor league club  … signed by the Padres as a minor league FA for AA … and worked to get this chance in the ML.

I have no illusion that Azocar will become an everyday starter … but only 26 and still room for more development. Given he can play CF in a league short on CF … he looks to be in the ML for some time if his bat holds up.

Yeah good call... I dont think Kim has a chance against Burnes ... give Alcantara a little playing time... I wouldn't start Cano at 2B and Crone at SS though... cause Cano is iffy on D... so the Alcnatara call would be awesome

Alcantara has a good glove but no offense ... Cano may still have some offense but limited defense.

Snell is a FB pitcher ... so is INF defense a key to winning?

Burnes is just good and scoring against him should be tough ... guessing MILW scoring against Snell will be a higher probability even with plus defensive INF

Probably go with Cano in the line-up over Alcantara for the potential of better offense. Note that Burnes #1 pitch is a 95MPH cutter ... not sure who handles that best.
