He was HBP (elbow area) a couple innings ago, that's probably the reason

Felt like a game we should have dominated. Errors and good luck on weakly hit balls gave the Brewers life. The boys showed a lot of resilience to rally and pull away. What a night for Jake. Manny was great too. Great job by some of the less heralded bullpen guys covering 4+ innings after another short start. We're back at .500 again. Have to hope Tatis and Profar are ok. Losing either of them for any significant amount of time right now would be tough.

Tonight game 81 … the half way point … going to be tough with likely both Tatis and Profar getting the day off. Vasquez is going to have to keep the Brewers at bay. Brewers are pitching a rookie (2 ML starts) so who knows there. Would be great to finish the first half with a winning record.

Given Campusano’s injury and the fact that he has been struggling offensively over the past month (maybe due to a heavy early season workload) … might it make sense for the full season to put him on the 10 day IL not only to deal with the injury but to give him some rest … hopefully for a better 2nd half.

Not all that comfortable with Wade the back-up to Higashioka if Campusano can’t get in the line-up but stays on the roster even if only for a few days. Sullivan is no great shakes but he is a legit catcher and would be a legit option for a day off for Higashioka.

I guess the Padres agree … Campusano to the IL … Sullivan activated.
