Totally agree....Freddy Galvis has played such a good shortstop this year and has really made a huge difference in the middle infield
I love the guys game and overall demeanor and I also hope that they sign him to an extension....you don't see too many switch hitting shortstops that can play solid defense and have some pop in there bat....if he stays true to form he will hit you .240-.250 with 8 - 12 HR, 150 hits and 50+ RBI and a .980+ fielding %
Just a solid addition and one the Padres should keep....his salary of 6.8 million is a bargain compared to the 13 million + they spent on Headley and Mitchell and that wasted money could have been better spent on an extension in hindsight....... now if we could just find a 3rd baseman 😉

So the Pads split the road trip with a 5-5 record which all things considered is okay
Split on the road and win at home has always been the bench mark for a winning season
Random thoughts ?

C'mon guys....I know there are plenty of Padre fans that have opinions....lets get this forum / message board going
The A's come to town for a quick 2 game set and then back on the road for 4 with the Giants and 3 with the Rangers before coming home at the end of the month for another quick 3 game series with the Pirates before heading back on the road for 2 with the A's and a 4 game set with the D'Backs.....13 of the next 18 are on the road with a 7 game homestand with the Dodgers and Cubs taking us into the All-Star Break
This is a crucial 25 game stretch....any thoughts ?
Play .500 ball or better ( 13-12 ) ?
