Padres @ Marlins May 30-June 1

I said it last week…Cruz is done…slow bat…he should make the transition to a coach of some sort… he has had a good career but Father Time is still undefeated

Well it sure looks like Gary Sanchez has found a home...hopefully he is the spark this team really needed.

Sanchez has looked good at the plate, behind the plate was shaky at best. Nice to see the team get a laugher today, and win the series. Should have been a 3 game sweep, but the offense decided to take a night off yesterday. Believe that puts them at 5-4 for the road trip, so enjoy a pleasant flight home and dont forget to pack the bats.

Just watching the game now.

Why in the world did the Marlins have the infield drawn in down 3-1, runners on second and third? Pads end up with 4 seeing eye bleeders, that had the D been at normal depth, would have gotten them out of the inning with probably a 5-1 defecit.

Schumacher really overplayed his hand there.

Sanchez seems to answer 2 ? Holes.. DH and C... his  precesnse in the lineup allows the Padres to stretch out 1 thru 9.. even without Manny .. with Manny it makes it pretty elite when you have Crone/Sanchez/Grish 7 8 9 vs lefties.. and Sanchez/Grish/Kim 7 8 9 vs righties

Real good games from Sanchez and Dixon . I know it's SSS but I like what I've seen from Carleton and Cosgrove . Carleton threw 19 of 23 for strikes, he doesn't F around .Tatis finally looked like he might be shaking off the rust . Musgrove decided not to give  up more than 1 run . Should've been a 6-3 trip . Hopefully this year will be the opposite of 2021 and get the crappy play out of the way early and get hot in the 2nd half .
