Padres @ Angels June 3-5

PreviousPage 2 of 2

What a frustrating game. Rengifo gets on and scores the first run for the Angels after he should have been called out on strikes and we ran ourselves out of some of our best opportunities to score. Merrill gets thrown out at the plate for the 1st out in the 8th after we took the lead and we end up blowing the game against the Royals. We follow it up with Kim getting thrown out trying to stretch a double into a triple and an awful send by the third base coach to get Profar thrown out at the plate. We've lost too many winnable games.

Schildty's winning on the fringes looks more like losing on the fringes.

We just don't seem to understand Baseball 101

Waldron again lights out. Lovin' it.

Luckily I fell asleep last night and missed the last few innings.

What in the Jamie Moyer was going on?

😉

This team is impossible. The Angels are pathetic. They hadn't won back to back home games all season. Of COURSE they do it against the Padres right away.

I am so sick of this.

I know, by the way, I thought the struggles vs lefties was gonna be over by now, I guess not 🤷

I guess I should have been more specific when I said I wanted to see a sweep.

Another stupid loss. These are the losses that cost a playoff spot

They should've won the last one in KC, also should've at least taken two from this series, that would put them 4 games behind the bums If I am not mistaken, I think Is the second time they have lost a series against a bellow .500, and the Pads don't capitalize on it

On one hand thank goodness the dodgers keep losing and the other potential WC teams aren't faring much better.

On the other hand we could have given ourselves a 3-4 game cushion in the standings if we had just won 2 of the last 4.

I hate to even put this in writing but we need to win 3 of 4 from the D Backs.

Not gonna say we need to sweep....obviously a sweep is asking too much.

Is there a shortage of brooms I'm not aware of?

A little past the 1/3 pole in the season and looking at the NL it total it is setting up for a real battle for the final two wild card slots.

Only 4 teams have separated with winning records … PHIL, LAD, MILW, and ATL

Then a pack of 9 teams with 31-35 losses and only one of them (CUBS) are at .500 … the other eight have losing records.

Only two teams have fallen out … COLO and MIA.

So 9 teams are in a tight shot group for two Wild Card slots … with just under 2/3rds of the season to go. Any of these teams with hot or cold streak can be  5th in the league or 13th.
