Dozier complements Garcia (RH/LH).  The logical most likely outcome here is they are the INF bench, France to AAA, Dozier takes Breyvic Valera's roster spot (out of options).  The bench situation is pretty simple:  Machado & Tatis are going to play every day, all day, but end of blowouts.  Hosmer locked in at 1B too; only conceivable "need" is RH or SH 1B capable guy who really hits LHP... best candidate is Profar, but he would "already" be at 2B vs LHP.... enter Dozier to solve that problem?

I have to say I think Profar's spot is more at risk than Garcia's.  HE is also an Arb player, so would only get a prorated % of contract if cut before O.D... the 5.7 MM just seems like an overpay with so many options.  Probably won't happen... but it could.

I LOVE your trade props, but don't see that deal coming together.  I don't like a "packed" "overflowing" roster where we keep losing "marginal" guys (4 via Waiver so far... 3 to contenders, though Martini DFA'd twice) whenever a move has to be made.  If Dozier takes Valera's temp roster spot... fine.  But adding Lagares is ANOTHER spot, etc...  at some point it is better to clear the decks with a multi-40-man player trade (trade QUANTITY for QUALITY) than to constantly erode away the bottom when you hit the point where it's guys with upside &/or role players...  we're close to that.

I like to see AJP put an attractive package together of like Perdomo/Guerra (out of ootions looked terrific yesterday) + Miller + Naylor or something like that for a solid MLB piece or to clear tge deck and backload a bit at low A/Room league /intl pool$$.... Think Perdomo can be really valuable for someone..Guerra has tremendous upside as a reliever (doing great with only 1/2 yr pitching pro level as is 100mph arm) + Miller is a top 8 spec inbour system with no spot on the mlb roster atm and Arias and Cronsworth looming soon.. He would benefit from a change and Naylor even with weight loss seems more like an AL guy... Wonder if such a packet can land us Boyd (Tigers).. Or a similar P or position player.?

Love the idea.  But I think Tingler (really Preller/F.O.) gives Hosmer a month in regular season to show he can do something vs LHP (down in batting order)...if not, they've gotta play to win.  Myers a different story though.  He's never really had pronounced splits (I get that Cordero has).  At 60 MM remaining on his deal, Padres simply can not "short side" platoon Myers just to create playing time for Cordero (or Naylor).... have to build his value either as a Padre or not by playing him.

My prediction:  Lagares & Dozier do make team.  So do Profar & Garcia.  Naylor on O.D. roster over Cordero to AAA to play every day & get back ASAP.   If Pads well out of NL West race at deadline, look for them to do the "Myers + SP" trade eating all of the 2020 $$ to free up: 1) Max $$ in 21-22, and 2) Spot for Cordero.  Alternative:  Cordero & Naylor trade places MLB/AAA or one (Naylor more likely) traded.

Early guess 2021 OF:  Pham, Grisham, Cordero, Olivares, Ona.  With Trammell "blocked" waiting in wings for Pham spot next yr.

It would make sense that AJ picked up Dozier if he "was" working a deal to move 2-4 bodies.

Otherwise it really doesn't make much sense.

I really want to see Cronenworth in the Majors to start the season esp. considering he's really the only true backup SS(other than Machado of course) for the bench.If you keep Cronenworth you don't need/have space for Garcia.

So keep Cronenworth,France,Dozier as your infield bench....covers all positions including emergency Catcher.

Innings Pitched (IP), Wins (W), Losses (L), Complete Games (CG), Home Runs (HR), Walks (BB), Strikeouts (K), Earned Run Average (ERA), (Walks + Hits)/ Innings Pitched (WHIP), Strikeouts per Nine Innings (K/9), Quality Starts (QS), Saves + Holds (SV+H)

 It's the league Dre originally created so the categories are his.

I like more....so a guy like Pete Alonso isn't a top 10 guy just because he hits homeruns.
