This is going to be a huge test for SD. They can not get swept. This should be a good test for the two new SPs that we got.
Lets see how the offense hangs against the best in the NL.

The Brewers have the best record in MLB. The Padres have always had a tough time beating them and lost 2 of 3 to them in Milwaukee. Now they play here at Petco Park.
Let's hope Ray and Mize have a better performance in their second appearance as a Padre.

I'll be at the game tonight. These are some tough pitching matchups even without facing Misiorowski. Henderson and Harrison have been dominant and May has pitched really well against us this year. It's not hard to see why The Brewers are in the position that they're in. We'll need strong bounce back efforts from the new guys.

Definitely a battle at Petco the next 3 nights! This will tell us if we're ready for the post season: wins, at least one, is mandatory but battling the leagues best for 9 innings will show some character, that I feel, has been missing at times this year.
I imagine the Friar Faithful will do their bidding early, often, and throughout so the Boys of Summer will have no excuses not to be totally geeked up!

Fermin must have really been struggling early this year, with all the dings to the head( as any human being would!)
He looks like a different player! Extremely good call getting him time away and time to recover. Well played 🤙🏽

I'm fairly certain that the Brewers SS NEVER saw the ball that Tatis hit at him! He literally turned his head away and waved his glove.....and voila!!!!
That was a run right there. We need to get that back.

Watching Sung turn the DP at the keystone is so much better than watching Bogaerts doing it. Actually gives us a chance to turn 2👍🏽

Padres win and take game 1 to even the season series.
Mize was much better tonight despite one bad pitch to Yelich. BP was solid.
France and Merrill came through.
Let's take game 2.

Great win tonight! Mize was good except for one pitch. Merrill slams another one out, game winner! M & M (Morejon and Miller) were great tonight. Beat the best team in MLN tonight.
Let's get the series tomorrow night!!
