Miami Marlins @ San Diego Padres: May 26-28

PreviousPage 2 of 3Next

Padres win a wild and crazy one.

It was looking like they were going to lose after being down 6-0 in the top of the first. But, the Padres came back and beat the Marlins for their third win in a row.

Kolek struggled in the first inning giving up 6 runs, but settled down afterward giving up only 1 hit since. The BP was solid and Estrada shit them down.

Kudos to Tatis and Merrill on their homers.

It's time to get out the brooms.
GO PADRES!

That's a tough night in the big leagues for Ronny Simon. Just a complete meltdown on defense. I don't know that I've ever seen someone have a worse game in the field. We've been the beneficiaries of some strange plays these past few games. That's the beauty of baseball. You never know what kind of weirdness you might see on any given night.

The Dbacks blew a 6-0 lead like the Marlins did and lost to the Pirates 9-6.

I'm not sure Kolek did look bad in the first. What, 6 worm killers and a bad decision by Manny?

I'm not sure there was 1 rope hit off him?

He's been impressive so far.

All ground balls that found holes….hard to do

Right?

Those dudes couldn't have run the balls out there and placed them better. I think the furthest any one hit the ball in the air was maybe 60 feet????

Grounders found holes, and Schildt made a bold and smart decision to let Kolek continue. Paid off well, and saved some BP arms.

SD offense was gritty last night; and with the help of some bad defense, grinded away at the 6 runs and came out with a win.

All in all, a very good night to grab a victory from the jaws of defeat.

Well done Boyz!!

I guess this is one of those games where Mike makes every wrong decision, or there Is not one right to make as far as the pitching goes.

Unbelievable. The Padres blew a 5 runs lead. Well, at least they won the series.

Hart pitched pretty well until the 5th innng, then his pitching collapsed and the BP could not get it done. Schildt should have brought in Suarez rather than Peralta. Suarez has pitched 2 innings before. IMO, Schildt mismanaged pitching today.

At least the Dodgers, Giants and Dbacks all lost.

Bring in the Pirates.

GO PADRES!
