Los Angeles Dodgers at San Diego Padres: August 22-24

With lefties Rushing and Ohtani coming up, Morejon should have been brought in.

The offense did have opportunities and could not get it done.

That all being said, we Padre fans should by happy the Padres won the series and are in no worse than a first place tie.

Now, it is time to go to Seattle to take care of the Mariners.

GO PADRES!

Estrada has been over used….I was wondering why it wasn’t Morgan

Well the Dodgers certainly seem to have Estrada figured out.

You could tell by the quotes after Saturday night's game that the Dogers are clearly in Estrada's head.  Schildt & Nieabla were probably trying to show their confidence in JE today, but I hoped they learned their lesson and use JE much more sparingly against the Dogers.

I thought Schildt & Nieabla could have used Adam, followed by Miller & Suarez, in succession for the 7th, 8th & 9th today with Morejon to deploy against the lefties at the top of the order in either the 7th or 9th.  As Mr. Padre said, why didn't Schildt & Nieabla put Morejon in against Rushing & Ohtani in the 7th?  Oh well, live and learn.  On to Seattle.  Go Pads!

Huge series ahead—if the Padres can take advantage at home and Pivetta stays sharp, this could be the statement they need.
