Jake Cronenworth for Jose Ramirez.

Who says no?

Cleveland ... they can get a lot more from other teams.

Considering years of control and cost….think they would still say no?

I am not advocating trading him….he’s probably my favorite Padre, but Jake is the #1 2b in the NL.

I don’t think I’d trade him straight up for Ramirez.

So apparently “Jake” has always been “Jacob” and no one called him Jake until he reached MLB and everyone thought Manny was being funny calling him Jacob all the time.

San Diego Padres

Player: Jake Cronenworth, 1B

Cronenworth is the lone member of the starting infield who didn’t leave camp to play in the World Baseball Classic. He has also been the team’s most consistent performer throughout the spring, and there is reason to believe this isn’t just a Cactus League mirage. Cronenworth, who will split his time between first base and second base, is now healthy after playing through a lingering hip injury last season. And he is expected to bat fifth most days in the Padres’ supercharged lineup. The two-time All-Star appears poised for a career year. — Dennis Lin
