Sutcliffe is on the national broadcast (he lives in Cardiff and has some real Padre insights) and commented that he is sure the Padres would not have traded him IF they knew the DH was coming.
Trammell may have to really blossom to get out from under the inevitable production comparison to Reyes. Thinking this trade will really sting for years.
I don't regret it. No way to see Covid coming & leading to the change happening in 2020 vs 2022.
