Franchy and Bolaños to Royals...

PreviousPage 2 of 2

Bolaños is back at the Alt Training site.  2 starts, 2 losses.  12.27 ERA, 3.00 WHIP. given up 2 HRs in 3.2 total start innings.  Cordero is still up with KC.  Hitting .154 with .185 OBP & .221 SA for a .416 OPS.  However, he's only stuck out 2 times in 27 plate appearances.

Hill similar stats to Bolanos, with 11.25 ERA and 1.75 WHIP.  Also given up 2 HRs in 4.0 innings.  Hill has much better BB/K ratio, 1 BB/6K's than Bolanos, 3 BB/2Ks.

In my opinion, likely to see Hill still contribute more to our current team than Bolanos and Cordero would have although there's no doubt they were intriguing prospects.  We'll see how this plays out as this, and the other trades made to remake the current roster plays out in 2020 and beyond.

Cordero on the 10 day IL .... right wrist sprain.

Update: Cordero to 45 day IL ... wrist injury.

Great POTENTIAL but a body that just will not let that develop.

Really sucks.  Just going to run out time without ever getting out there to see what he could do... "if only"

update:

AUGUST 11: Cordero required a surgical procedure to repair damage to his right hamate bone, manager Mike Matheny told reporters including Alec Lewis of The Athletic (Twitter link). Young infielder Jeison Guzman will get his first crack at the majors. He was already on the 40-man roster but has now been tapped for active duty.
