FTJ must be the most frequently tested professional athlete on the planet at the moment. Even if Nino had been on the gear(what, last August?), any gains would be looooong gone by now. Most steroid ester half lives are maybe a week.
This is all just the phenomenon that is FTJ.

Anyone else find it odd that Nando hasn’t hit a triple in over 700 AB’s?
His last triple was some time in 2020.
With his speed this is bizarre.

I noticed that the other day as well( whilst comparing him statistically to other NL RF- read Betts and Acuna)
What I also found amazing was that FTJ's numbers were fairly similar to the other guys ..... in only 2/3 the games!
Kid is REALLY special. Instead of signing Soto to a half billion contract, I'd like to see AJ go out and find the leagues best 2 hole hitter. FTJ gets stranded WAY too often for my liking. Who knows, maybe he's already on the team- Kim, Bogaerts, Cronenworth? It certainly is not Soto.
Time for Preller to build a "team", not an All Star lineup.

Did a quick look at what Padres other than Soto have done batting second … nothing good from Machado, Cronenworth, or Kim … actually they were basically worse than in other slot. Bogaerts and Grisham have not been tried batting second and not sure in a pennant run that would be a experiment.
Maybe a trade deadline move … but clearly over the winter a search for someone who has shown some ability in that #2 slot to at least hit / get on-base (not worried about the power). However, it does appear that hitting #2 has its own dynamics and just because a player is hitting somewhere else in the line-up that translates to #2. A challenge for the scouting.

Tatis will hit anywhere in the lineup.
I’d prefer we go out and find the best leadoff hitter/Centerfielder we can find and move Tatis down a spot or two.
He needs to be driving in runs…esp considering no one else on this team seems able too.

Fernando Tatis Jr is 3-DRS away from joining Barry Bonds, Mookie Betts and Andruw Jones as the only players in MLB history to have multiple 20-HR/20-SB/20-DRS seasons

I’m not sure exactly how they figure it but that may be two more DRS’s right there!
