Ruiz is our CF now... has hit safely in every game too 5 game hitting streak. What's the rookie record for consecutive hits to start a career?
Azocar was already demoted for Profar.
I guess it could be Batten…..but he’s an infielder.
I would think they may wait for Tatis to demote him?

Well they would have one of Kim or Abrams on the bench after optioning Batten plus in an emergency Nola, Profar, and Ruiz have played the INF and could fill until a call-up.
Odds are that it will be Batten down.
The real issue will be when Tatis returns and if Ruiz and Abrams are performing but Grisham and Voit are not. Plus there is that trade deadline issue if an add already bumps one of the above.

CJ or Grish then when Tatis comes back.. Batten is not essential to the INF mix with Kim/Profar/Nola/Crone/CJ and Manny able to cover 3B/SS/2B...
Then again for all we know..Grish/Voit/CJ and Hos could all be ex padres by 8/3.. or anyone else for that matter 😆 🤣 😂

Quote from LynchMob on August 1, 2022, 8:03 pmBum'd to see him go ... of course he's not the next Ricky Henderson ... right?

Both (Gasser and Ruiz) will begin their Brewers tenures in the Minors -- Gasser at Double-A Biloxi and Ruiz at Triple-A Nashville.

Quote from JasonE135 on August 1, 2022, 9:03 pmJust for reference Henderson's lifetime numbers are .279/.401/.419/.820. I don't see Esteury Ruiz matching any of those career numbers even once in his career, except POSSIBLY BA.

I know... that was me rooting for the kid to succeed. Most scouts see him as an excellent 4th OFer with some pop/speed and a chance to be more than that..

Maybe Dee Strange Gordon.
