Rosario,Ornelas,Arias,Potts,Campusano,Estuery Ruiz,we've got some great teenagers already producing in the system!

Eguy is pretty interesting since the FO has pushed him hard the last two years. Clearly showing their high hopes for him. I'd actually say his 2018 campaign can't even be considered a failure.

Gets a nice mention here ...
Last year, the 18-year-old Rosario hit .239 with a .307 on-base percentage and a .363 slugging percentage with a .670 OPS for Advanced Single-A Lake Elsinore. He had 28 doubles, a triple and nine homers in 457 at-bats.
But far from being discouraged, the Padres were pleased by Rosario’s effort. He was the youngest player in the California League and almost 4 ½ years younger than the league average.

From today's DFR ...
Eguy Rosario reached base four times with two singles, two walks and an RBI. The 20-year-old is in the midst of his finest month as a professional. In August, Rosario is hitting .327/.405/.519 with 14 walks. The Padres are very deep in the infield, but there is at least an outside chance a team might take a chance on the Rule 5-eligible Rosario this winter.

And again!
Shortstop Eguy Rosariotripled and singled as part of a multi-hit night. The 20-year-old Rosario hit .412 over his last 10 games and he finished his second stint in the Cal League with 40 extra-base hits, including eight triples which lead the club. We’ve mentioned that Rosario will be 40-man eligible after the season and if the Padres don’t add him to the 40-man roster, another organization could weigh whether to take a flier on him even though he’s well-removed from being big-league ready.

While I didn't think this would be the case earlier, it appears that Eguy may be among the 5-7 players the Padres will protect from the Rule 5 draft. I'm looking at Gore, Martinez, Valenzuela and Wilson as the other four with 2-3 others possibly under consideration.
