Mets won and Braves won.

Its early, but AZ is ahead in MIL. Havent checked; but with MIL already division winners, I wonder if they are resting some starters?

Padres win and Dodger lost. Padres gain a game and now 3 games behind the Dodgers. Let's hope we can gain another game tomorrow.

Perez was solid and Diaz hits his first homer as a Padre.

Time for the sweep.

GO PADRES!

Pads are 39-17 since the All-Star Break, the best record in MLB.  That is a .696 winning percentage.  Quite impressive to be playing almost .700 baseball over a 56 game span.  Time to get win #40 on Sunday.  Go Pads!

It seems like Diaz has been squaring up a lot of balls since he's been with us. It was good to see him get rewarded for it. Who would have thought after we traded him to the Yankees that De Los Santos would be hanging sliders against us for the White Sox? It feels a lot better to be on this side of one of his bad outings. Perez has been a revelation since we picked him up.

The Padres announced this afternoon that they’ve selected the contract of shortstop Nick Ahmed. To accommodate the addition of Ahmed to the club’s active and 40-man rosters, infielder Mason McCoy was placed on the 10-day injured list due to back inflammation while right-hander Jhony Brito was recalled to the majors before being placed on the 60-day IL due to a right elbow strain.

I guess that settles the Kim question for the remainder of the season.

Here is an amazing stat.

The Padres did what had to be done and that is sweep the worst team in MLB history. White Sox tie the 1962 Mets for 120 losses and is guaranteed to finished the season as the team with the worst record in MLB history.

The Padres reach their 90th win.

The Dbacks lost and the Braves and Dodgers won.

BEAT L.A.!

GO PADRES!

Great bottom of the 8th inning, scoring 3 runs!  Got our 90th team win, a first in the AJP era.  Finished 45-36 at home for the year joining the 2010, 2013 & 2021 teams; the only Petco teams with more wins were the 2014 (48-33), 2007 (47-34) & 2005 (46-35).

The last three seasons that Shildt has managed the whole season, his teams have won at least 90 games and he is the first manager to do this with different teams!

Go Pads, Beat LA!

Mission Accomplished ... bring on the Dogs!
