Good points FENN.  His promotion makes two things pretty obvious to me:

1.  He's going to be in at least AA
2.  With the National attention he's now received, think he's a mortal lock to be a Top 100 MLB prospect.  Most have Robert Hassell III in top 100, so Weathers would make 6 in top 100.  Morejon is "on the verge" of graduating subjectively by Games/IP.  If he doesn't, I would have him top 100 also = 7 guys.

Roster room is not a big deal, there is a lot of "fringe" on 40-man now; some added at deadline to play niche roles this season.

Could affect 40-man protect decisions though.  I've always been high on Reggie Lawson, but with the 2021 $ crunch it is awfully hard to see another team selecting his contract in R5, paying MLB $ to start on IL, then a 30 day rehab, then HAVING to stick in MLB for 2nd 1/2 of 2021 AND first 1/2 of 2022?  Think Pads might leave him unprotected & take the risk.
