If the Padres win today ... they can go with Buehler on Saturday vs MIL followed by King (full rest) on Sunday in MILW. Pivetta would set up for Tuesday in SD. Wednesday at home would be an open question ... Ray? Vasquez? Bullpen day? Game 5 brings back Pivetta in MILW. Not a bad set-up.

If the Padres lose today ... a bit trickier. Buehler likely moves to the deciding 3rd game. King would still set up for Sunday .... so Friday to open the series in MILW: Ray? Vasquez? Bullpen day?. Then if get to game 5 ... ???? Depending how each game goes ... Padres may choose to do some juggling in starters so they don't get boxed in a game 5.

Win today!

On the toss up days, Ray or Vazquez could start depending on the opposing teams roster construction with an "opener" approach and short leash. If the "opener" is dealing then ride the horse.

Yep ... SAT ... early mornings sometimes early mornings have fuzzy brain!

Win one in Milwaukee and then both at Petco so we don't have to go back to Mil and face Mis again.

That's the plan....:)

I would rather win the first two in Milwaukee.

The Phillies are out. The Braves head to L.A.

Padres roster changes announced yet? Assuming they'll be adding another arm? At the expense of?

Gotta add Vasquez back, right? Possibly Ray? What are Peralta's numbers against Brewer bats?

And do you keep BOTH Musgrove and Morgan?

And which bat gets demoted? Bowen has a skill set that neither Hayes nor Andujar has. And Hayes and Andujar are somewhat redundant, no?! I guess it just comes down to who hits Brewer pitchers better?

Tough calls all around.
