It would depend on what he did for me. I haven't been able to find any report that says what he was dismissed for. The only information I found was that one other player was dismissed and a bunch of players transferred at the end of the year. They would need to do their due diligence before making a move.

Excited to see 2024 selectees Mayfield, Bateman and Fountain but hopefully Tears and Hightower will be pleasant surprises; we already got a glimpse of some of the college group at LE and a couple, Roberts and Barnett in particular, looked good. Have to be wary of college production in Low A, however, because that level of competition oftentimes is below what draftees faced if they played in a major college conference. We'll see how this group does in 2025.
Also, still a number of 2023 draftees that have not seen much or any action because of injury - Carson Montgomery, Kannon Kemp and Tucker Musgrove - they could finally get a chance to show their promise if healthy.
Should be an interesting year in the lower minors as this new crop of players plus any adds from the ACL and DSL discovers whether they are ready for the next step.

Kash Mayfield, LHP, Padres (SD No. 3)
Teams didn't have much data on the prep lefty heading into the 2024 Draft since he didn't pitch in any major showcase events, but Mayfield's strong spring cemented his place as a first-round Draft prospect thanks to increased velocity and his long-established strike-throwing ability. The Oklahoma native's first foray into pro ball will paint an even better picture, with tangible pitch data to go along with how he fares against stronger competition.
