2023 Postseason

PreviousPage 2 of 2

Padres win as many post season games as the Duds do in 2023.....makes our lousy season a wee more palatable.

Well the playoffs have been great this year...Dodgers get sweep out by the Dbacks ( Back in April I said this Dbacks team was going to cause problems for teams this year), Astros and Rangers is the Battle of Texas, Philles are flexing their muscle. One series going 7 games and one series with game 6 coming up

Astros v Rangers...game 7..........Who has the advantage ?

Philles v Dbacks...game 6........Who has the advantage ?

Picks for the World Series...who knows

The Dbacks finished the regular season right were I thought they would, a couple of games above .500 and be a wild card. The are fun to watch on the base paths.

So far, all the games in the ALCS have gone to the visiting team, so I stick with TEX for game 7.

Think PHI is too dangerous at home, look for PHI to close it out in game 7.

TEX v PHI in WS and TEX takes the trophy.

I'm not sure why but I find myself rooting for the D Backs.

Maybe it's because I can't stand the Phillies.....lol

TEX v AZ … would have had long odds in Vegas before the season.

Again two Wild Card teams … clearly diminishes the value of winning the Division.

Probably also reflects a bit of roster design suited for the playoffs vs the 162 game haul and pacing them to peak late. At least to the degree that can be managed.

Well Austin Hedges has not changed.

2 outs, tie game last of the 9th, winning run on 2nd base …. Hedges swings big and misses on three straight pitches … not even a sense of trying to make simple contact and hit the winning single to RF on three straight low outside pitches.
